Apple Add iPhone 11 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 3 to 'Vintage' List: What does it mean to you?

Apple decided to add the iPhone 11 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 3 to its notorious vintage list. However, the Cupertino-based technical giant did not add the iPhone 11 Pro to the Vintage list, which means that the smaller device is still officially supported with Apple parts and services. The iPhone 11 Pro Max was launched in September 2019, and although it was officially placed on the vintage list, the phone Apple’s latest iOS 26 software supports, although without the Apple Intelligence features. Both iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max were discontinued in October 2020, shortly after the company’s announcement of the iPhone 12 series. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series was launched in September 3, 2017 and is still for sale on the Apple website until September 2022. This is the second time Apple has added to the iPhone 17 launch products. Shortly after the launch, Apple added three MacBook versions to the list, along with the iPhone 8 Plus ’64 GB and 256 GB models. Apple regularly adds older devices to the vintage list to better manage its supply chain and focus sources on newer products. If your older products add to the vintage list, it also indicates users that their phone cannot be fully supported and that it is time to upgrade to a new device. What means to be a vintage device? According to Apple, a product is considered vintage if it has been out of the sales market for more than five years, but less than seven years. Apple stores and Apple -authorized service providers usually do not repair these products. Although devices on the vintage list are not outdated, they have a limited official hardware support from Apple, and the authorized service providers are limited. The devices will continue to work normally, but repairs for it will only be available as long as the parts remain in stock, and once the parts are up, the official support will cease.
