However, permits are still issued for tourist destinations Lachen, Lachung, Gurudongmar Lake and Yumthang in the Northern Sickmim district, the official said: “If heavy snowfall blocks the roads for tourist destinations in northern Sikkim, tourist permits are stopped.” Lachung and Lachen have recorded a minimum temperature of 3 degrees Celsius over the past two days, while the state capital gang check has the lowest temperature of 5 degrees Celsius.
