He said that the total number of people brought back from Iran has now increased to 1,428 with this new group. Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, said 311 Indian citizens had reached New -Delhi through a special flight from Mashhad on June 22 at 4:30 pm. He said that so far 1.428 Indian citizens have been evacuated from Iran. India started ‘Operation Sindhu’ last week to bring Indians out of Iran and Israel in the light of the increasing enmity between the two countries. Since the enmity began more than a week ago, Israel and Iran have fired hundreds of missiles and drones on each other’s cities and military and strategic companies.
