Cobham Sports U18 Supplies Disappointing Defeat at Fawley – ryan
The team traveled to brickability group stage but struggled to adapt to the challenging conditions, including an awkward breeze.
After an evenly matched first half, fawley took the lead with a goal from Albie Dewey, capitalising on a cobham defensive error.
Cobham responded strongly at the start of the second half, turning the game around to lead 2-1 by the 54th minutes with goals from Rody Shahi and Ollie Gomm.
However, Fawley soon regained control, with Albie Dewey completing a hat-trick and Adam Woodcock scoring a brace to secure a 5-2 Victory.
Despite Cobham’s Early Second-Half Efforts, they struggled to maintain their lead, giving fawley too much space and allowing dewey and woodcock to find the back of the net.
Cobham’s man of the match was Ashton McCreath, who made a commendable return after recovering from a broken elbow.
A Club Spokesman said: “Not a good day at the office for the Cobham lads, they all looked a little tired and dejected at the final whistle.
“They competed well enough for the first 55 minutes but they gave the home side too much space.”
