Karnataka: Priyank Kharge wrote a letter to Foreign Minister Jaishankar, explained that he did not have approval for the visit to America
Bengaluru, June 20 (IANS). Priyank Kharge, a minister in the Karnataka government, Friday, Foreign Minister SK wrote a letter to Jaishankar. In this, he allowed to refuse to give political approval for the official visit to America. In the letter, Priyank said: “I am writing to obtain formal explanation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for refusing to give political approval for my scheduled official visit from 14-27 June 2025.” He said the trip was planned for two important international forums, Bio International Conference in Boston and Design Automation Conference (DAC) in San Francisco, as well as many official meetings with top companies, universities and institutions, where I had to represent the Karnataka government to explore, attract investment and create jobs for the state. Minister Kharge said that in the absence of any formal communication, it underlined the reasons for refusing the ministry, it became difficult to judge and plan such future programs. It also creates concerns about the continuity of the process, especially if the attacks are official, important to the region and in the national interest. Priyank Kharge said I requested the ministry to give a formal declaration for refusal and consider more transparent and consulting approaches to deal with such official tasks in the future. He said that Karnataka is not just the technical capital and development engine of the Asia-Pacific region. It emerged as a world leader in innovation and startups, and has always been a pioneer in information technology, biotechnology, electronic design and manufacturing, air and space technology and defense production. Kharge said the leadership was formed by a dynamic ecosystem managed by visionary state stories and intensive global partnerships, with Karnataka as a favorite destination for international collaboration and investment. Kharge said that the lack of ministerial representation in such an important official visit, given the special leadership ability of Karnataka, is a great opportunity. This missed the opportunity to further strengthen India’s participation, increase confidence in world partners and show our seriousness to these areas. Most importantly, it participates in such tours is in line with our national priorities and will directly support the prime minister’s great vision of ‘developed India’. In the comments that he did not allow his visit to America through the central government, Minister Priyank Kharge on Thursday claimed that the NDA government was trying to weaken the success of Karnataka. Priyank Kharge spoke to reporters at Bengaluru International Airport after returning from Paris’s tour, and it seems he is trying to stop the success of Karnataka. -Ians psk/acade
