Jenna Bush Hager and Tyra Banks Admit to Faking Birthdays, Proposals for Free Food – ryan

Jenna Bush Hager and Tyra Banks aren’t afraid to admit that they’ve fibbed for a freebie.

On Today with Jenna & Friends on Tuesday, April 15, the pair discussed a recent video on X of a California couple who said they faked a proposal to get free drinks at a Hawaii resort.

The clip prompted Banks, 51, to recall a memorable family trip that included an extended birthday celebration and plenty of free gifts.

“Okay, so my mom had a birthday many years ago, and we were in Dubai with my man, and he proceeded to say her birthday was going on for two weeks,” the supermodel and businesswoman said. “And for two weeks, it was people coming in with flowers and cakes and the fire and the Champagne.”

“So guilty, family,” she said. “Super guilty.”

The Today host, 43, then confessed that she’d pulled a similar prank in the past.

“I’ve done it,” Bush Hager shared.

“Well, my cousin pretended to propose to me, which sounds nasty,” she added.

“Look! That’s us!” she pointed out as a throwback photo of her and her cousin Sam LeBlond was shown onscreen. “We look like a couple, don’t we?”

“No,” Banks told her. “He looks like your cousin.”

“We weren’t 18. We did it kind of for laughs — and for dessert,” Bush Hager noted.

LeBlond’s mother is Dorothy Bush Koch, the sister of former President George W. Bush and daughter of former President George H.W. Bush.

Bush Hager met her husband, Henry Hager, in 2004 and tied the knot at her family’s Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, in 2008. They share three children: daughters Mila, 13, and Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5.

She then defended the move, saying it’s actually very common.

“By the way, everybody’s faked a birthday,” Jenna said. “If we’re honest.”
