Case against IPS man for ‘sexually exploiting’ woman

NAGPUR: A 30-year-old IPS officer of 2021 batchposted as sub-divisional police officer in Akkali in Nandurbar, was named in an FIR for rape, following a complaint by a 28-year-old woman doctorReports soumitra bose.
The survivor, in her complaint, accused the officer of reneging on his promise to marryciting her caste credentials apart from mental and physical torture. The officer was also named under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocity) Act.
