There are three implementation locations, namely in Serang City, in any (Serang Regency) and Cilegon City. The idea of this activity comes from the president of Archipelago International, John M. Flood, who has seen the MBG program involve the private sector. “He, Mr. John Flood, saw that this program was good, but the possibility of success would be greater if it involved the private sector because the number of students in Indonesia was very large,” he said. According to Doddy, Flood thinks one hotel can handle two or three schools for the MBG program. “It facilitates the burden on the government without building a public kitchen because there is already a hotel,” he said. Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Serang, Nur Agis, hopes this program will continue. He claims Aston and other hotels can build a kitchen for MBG. Agis said, there are currently five kitchens for free nutritious eating. This figure is much less than the number of students who have reached 120 thousand people. “It must continue. Second, Aston, which is also pushed into a public kitchen, maybe he can open on the periphery as well as a priority because it should be immediately so that all students can get benefits,” Agil said. “I hope Aston will open one. We will support as long as it encourages Serang city government programs,” he said. (AIK/TOR) HOEGENG AWARD 2025 Read the inspirational story of the exemplary police candidate here
