Study: Psoriasis and joint medication can eliminate diabetes caused by cancer treatment

Laboratory studies have shown that type 1 diabetes caused by immunotherapy medicine can be controlled and even eliminated by treatment with medicines already approved for auto -immune diseases, such as psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis. From 1 to 2% of patients receiving immune treatments, known as immune hubs, such as “kethroda” and “odivu”, are a type 1 diabetes in which the immune system attacks the insulin -producing cells in the pancreas and accidentally destroys them. Diabetes is often permanent and insulin treatment needs for life. “With the increase in the use of lung cancer medicine, the prevention of long -term immune damage has become an important part of the care of patients.” She added: “This is one of the first times we have found a way to interfere in this heavenly in an effective way.” The team has identified a new set of immune cells that produce molecules that give signals that push the immune system to attack the pancreas. The researchers in the experiments on mice found that a group of medicine known as ‘jack brakes’ not only prevented the effect of two signal particles, but also reduced the number of cells that produce these molecules, and in some cases they restored blood sugar levels to normal.
