JAMUI: The youth dies due to drowning in a well made of illegal mining, villagers set fire to two trucks

Jamui, April 11 (IANS). Mohammad Zafar, 19, died after drowning in a deep well in the river due to the illegal sand mining in Majhgai Ghat of the Khaira police station in the Jamui district in Bihar. While two youths drowned, Zafar jumped into the river to save them, but he himself trapped and drowned in the pit. Both youth survived, but Zafar lost his life. Angry villagers set fire to two trucks after the incident. Police reached the place, controlled the situation and took the body and sent it to the postmortem. Police began questioning by arresting many people. The deceased’s father Mobin Ansari accused the administration of negligence and said that Zafar was his only son. The incident happened about ten in the morning. Villagers say the accident occurred due to deep pits made of illegal sand lifting, but the administration takes no steps on it. Police camped on the spot and drove the situation and began the investigation. Sdpo Satish Suman spoke to the media, said: ‘We received information at about 12:30 that a 19-year-old youth named Zafar died due to drowning. After this, the policy team reached the place. With the help of the villagers, the dead body of the deceased was restored. Thereafter, the body was sent to the post-mortem to the post-mortem. Appoint trucks.
