Aloe prepared a formula that calculates the player’s latest rating he calls ‘Linier approach’. This explains the old and current ratings of ‘Rold’ and ‘RNEW’ players, while ‘di’ is a competitive rating. After calculating all of this, some points are added or reduced to the player’s rating. Fide ratings occur in many categories. This includes standard, fast and blitz time format in ‘Open’ and ‘Women’ categories. Ratings are also published in three formats for ‘juniors’ and ‘girls’.
