BJP Issue whip before Waqf Amendment Bill present in Parliament
Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament: The BJP has announced to introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill on Wednesday (April 2), curbing all the speculations. To approve this bill in Parliament, the BJP is pushing the hemp. The Bharatiya Janata Party -led NDA government has prepared all its maneuvers.
In this episode, the Bharatiya Janata Party has issued a whip on Tuesday (March 1). In this, it has been said by the BJP that there is an important legislative work in the House on Wednesday. It has been further stated in the whip that all the people should vote for the party with the support of the party. Through this whip, all MPs have been asked to be present in the court. After this announcement of BJP, political heat has been increased in the country.
BJP’s JDU-TDP increased tension
There is a situation of upheaval in the BJP to pass the Waqf Amendment Bill in the House. The reason for this is clear, NDA’s constituent JDU, TDP and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan have been seen opposing it from different forums. JDU, TDP’s penetration among NDA constituents is good among Muslim voters. In such a situation, these two parties will support the Waqf Bill by closing the eyes of the central government headed by Modi, it will be a matter to be seen. At present, all eyes are now on the Waqf Amendment Bill.
Earlier on 8 August 2024, Union Minorities Welfare Minister Kiren Rijiju introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. However, after heavy opposition from the opposition, the government sent it to the Joint Parliamentary Committee. A total of 44 amendments were presented by the Parliamentary Committee in the Waqf bill, out of which about 14 amendments were accepted by the Joint Parliamentary Committee headed by Jagdambika Pal. This bill has already been approved by the Modi cabinet. Before the bill is introduced, other organizations along with many parties of ruling party and opposition are strongly opposed with the Muslim community.
