The number of tourists increased in June, 80% occupation in Manali

The number of tourists in the state increased in June after a minor arrival in May. Manali hotel Anop Thakur said: “The number of tourists was quite low last month. After the Pahalgam terror attack, the fight with Pakistan was the main reason for arriving inward. But now the situation has improved a lot.” He said: “The occupancy rate in Manali is currently about 80 percent.” Over the past one week, the arrival of tourists in Shimla has also increased, but it is not as much as Manali. Prince Kukreja, Vice President of Shimla Hotel Businesses Association, said: “May was bad for us, but the situation has improved over the past one week. Currently, the occupancy rate in Shimla is about 50 to 60 percent. As the heat will rise further, it will rise further.” In May, tourists usually come from here of southern states and Maharashtra. Kukreja said: “Most of the discussions were canceled in May, as many people from the south Kashmir and Himachal considered the same area. That’s why they were a little scared to come here shortly after the terrorist attack. Currently, most tourists visited from Northern India.” The second reason for a low arrival in May was regular rainfall for the entire month. Kukreja said: “The weather was pleasant in the plains due to rain. But now the temperature has begun to rise and the arrival has improved.” However, because of the increasing number of tourists, there is a problem of traffic jams, especially in Manali where the arrival is quite high. He said: “The second aspect of more tourists’ arrival is a long traffic jam. It takes about one and a half hour to reach Rohtang from Manali, but it can take four to five hours nowadays.” Share this story -tags
