What was the Trending Bondung Conference? In 1955, a historic conference took place in Java, Indonesia, which gave a new direction to Asia Africa’s relationship. This historical conference is called the Bondung conference, in which 29 Asian and African countries participated. India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Myanmar were the most important organizers of this conference. The biggest purpose of the Bandung Conference was to oppose colonialism and the struggle to support independence. At that time, many countries, such as Ghana (then Gold Coast), Cyprus and Sudan were not independent, so they participated in special representatives. This conference laid the foundation of the non -aligned movement, which later became an important global balance of power during the Cold War. The Bandung Conference has shown that countries in Asia and Africa can unite and increase their voice over global issues. After the Bandung Conference, colonialism began to weaken and many countries moved to independence. The 50th anniversary of the conference was celebrated in Jakarta in 2005, where the new Strategic Partnership (NAASP) began in Asia Africa.
