Kohima Nagaland -Governor La Ganesan died at a private hospital in Chennai on Friday. An Raj Bhavan official gave this information. He was 80 years old. Public Relations Officer (Pro) of Kohima Raj Bhavan said that Ganesan has undergone treatment in the ICU of the hospital over the past few days. Sources said Ganesan fell into his home in Chennai on August 8 and sustained an injury to his head. He was rushed to the hospital immediately, where doctors admitted to intensive medical unit (ICU) for intensive monitoring and treatment. Ganesan was appointed as the 21st Governor of Nagaland on February 12, 2023 and took over on February 20 in the same year. Ganesan, a famous BJP leader from Tamil Nadu, related to RSS, was the Governor of Manipur, Western Bengal and Nagaland between 2021 and 2025. He was also very committed to Tamil culture.” Stalin expressed deeply sadly about the death of Ganesan and expressed his condolences to the grieving family and the party. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, while paying tribute to Ganesan’s body, described him as a rare leader known for his political humility. Stalin said: “He respected the leaders of various ideologies and wore hard. Ganesan respected the late DMK leader and former chief minister M.
