Nigerian police confirm the ambush of the Chinese convoy in Abia, murder of two expatriates, police inspector
The victims were identified as Mr. Quan and Mr. CAI, both Chinese expatriates, and inspector Audu Saidu, one of their police accompators. No less than two Chinese citizens and a police inspector were killed in a deadly ambush by unidentified armed men in Uturu, Isoikwuato’s local government area of the ABIA state, confirmed the state police commando. The victims were identified as Mr. Quan and Mr. CAI, both Chinese expatriates, and inspector Audu Saidu, one of their police accompators. The attack took place on Friday, April 4, 2025, at about 5:30 pm, while the victims were on their way to their company in Agukwu-Amaya in the Ndundu community. It was learned that the attackers caught fire on the convoy, killed the three victims and hid the gun of the inspector Saidu. In a statement issued by ABIA State Police, DSP Maureen Chinaka, the order confirmed that a joint rescue operation in which police, military and other security agencies successfully saved four Chinese expatriates and two police officers. The statement reads partly; “In collaboration with the military and other sister safety agencies, the ABIA State Police Assignment led by the Division Police Officer (DPO) Uturu, four Chinese expatriates and two guidance police officers successfully saved.” This follows an emergency report received on 04/04/2025 at about 17:30 hours, that unidentified men had an ambush and attacked a group of a group of Chinese expenses while ambushing, while they were a group that was a group, and they attacked a group of a group.
