Spencer Torkelson rides in all three Tigers runs in the win over Jays

Spencer Torkelson had a double, a single and three RBIs and the visiting Detroit Tigers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. Torkelson’s RBI singles in seventh place broke a 2-2 draw. Dillon Dingler had three strokes and Riley Greene added two for the Tigers in the rubber match of the three-match series. The Tigers won five of six. The Blue Jays is 2-4 to open their home field of nine games. Detroit recorded Jose Berrios twice in the first against the right hand. Kerry Carpenter and Zach McKinster sang and recorded on Torkelson’s dual double high of the wall in the right center. After Gleyber walked Torres and squeezed Andy Ibanez, a single in third place, Braydon Fisher Fluharty replaced with two outs. Torkelson hit an RBI singles in the middle, but Ibanez was thrown out to reach third place on the hit to end the turn. John Brabbia replaced Jobe, which allowed six strokes and two hikes with five strokes. After two hikes, Brant Hurter replaced Brebbia and knocked out of Varsho to end seventh. Tommy Kahnle from Detroit took over in the eighth and worked around an edge.
