Jakarta -The Indonesian Culture Minister Fadli Zon, was present as a guest speaker in the orientation of the leadership of the regional head and deputy regional in 2025. He hopes that the local government can prioritize the museum as an important part of cultural development. “We also hope that there can be a special awards fund (roof) to support the development of the museum. But more importantly, we hope the regional heads and mothers can place the museum in the front window, not to be a back window,” Fadli said. According to Fadli, the museum in developed countries is actually becoming a display of civilization that shows the wealth of local culture. Fadli explained that the museum should be made as attractive as possible. “We also do training for the museum educator, museum curator and museum keeper because it is a cultural wealth in the region,” Fadli said. At the end of the presentation, Fadli transferred the importance of institutional support at regional level to ensure the promotion of regional culture. Fadli has asked all parties to ensure the promotion of regional culture by strengthening the role of the Cultural Council or the Regional Arts Council. “Then there is an optimization of the most important points of local cultural ideas or PPKD. On this occasion, I also encourage the local government that did not implement PPKD, to immediately arrange as by law number 5 of 2017,” Fadli said. “Then also the strengthening of cultural management and accountability through the use of the cultural promotion index as an indication of regional development,” he continued. Furthermore, Fadli encouraged the formation of a team of cultural heritage experts (TACB) in each region, both at provincial and district/city level, as regulated in Act number 11 of 2010 regarding cultural heritage. According to Fadli, each region must already have TACB. “I see that not all regions have TACB so that the recording of the cultural reserve is still rare. Most are still in Java and Sumatra,” Fadli explained.
