Heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, landslides, weakened in many areas amid orange warning
Shimla, June 20 (PTI) received rain in many parts of Himachal Pradesh, which caused landslides in many places. The local meteorological department released an orange warning from heavy to very heavy rain in various places at 22, 23, 25 and 26 on Friday. Officials said traffic was stopped on Dharamshala-Chhatro-Gaggal road due to landslides and officials is currently cleaning the road. Part of the Tony-Hatkoti road in the Bo-Shimla region was also damaged due to landslides. There were also reports on the weakening of Shaheed in Singh Middle School in Pandoh, which caused the students problems. The meteorological department issued on Sunday, Monday, Monday and Thursday orange warnings from heavy to very heavy rain in various areas of the state and on Tuesday issued a yellow warning of heavy rain in different areas. The maximum rainfall was received in Nahan, where 84.7 mm of rain was received, followed by 35 mm in Pandoh, 26.3 mm in slapper, 20.5 mm in Sarahan, 19.8 mm in Paonta Sahib, 19 mm in Joginderagar, 17.2 mm in Pachhad, 15.6 mm in Rampur and 15 mm in Rampur. Sunnight Nagar, Shimla and Kangra received thunderstorms, while Bajaura lasted strong winds at a speed of 37 km per hour. The meteorological center has warned that heavy rains in the middle and lower hills can cause landslides and that soil in sensitive areas collapses, weakening in low -locations and weak structures can cause partial damage, in addition to smooth and low visibility on the roads. The prediction says that the circumstances are favorable within the next two to three days to move the southwest mushon into parts of Himachal. Share this story -tags
