In such a situation, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has tightened the safety standards of the Ropeway system. It was decided to institute a committee with the authority for the execution and safety of all the activities associated with it, including technical inquiry. This committee will also tackle coordination with the states and trade union areas regarding the Ropeway system. The government said the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways established the committee with Ropeway Technical Evaluation, Certification and Safety (EC-Rope Tecs). The Ropeway will periodically have a technical investigation to be a committee to introduce technical codes and standards suitable for requirements, certification systems, commissioning requirements, security standards, inspections and audits for its components and its components. In addition, a technical investigation will also be conducted in the case of an incident that affects the safety in the construction, operation or maintenance of Ropeway systems. The government has made it clear that if the EC-Rope Tecs are considered appropriate, it can also invite independent experts, including international technical institutions for its consultation. In light of the related expertise, the ex -officio Railway Safety Commissioner (CMRS) was nominated as the Commissioner for Security of Ropeway System.
