The first revered Vighnaharan at Fatehpuri Gate of Rajasthan is unmatched the glory of the idol of the oldest and famous Ganesh ji temple in Sikar city. It is believed that the idol of Ganesha installed in this temple is full of miracles. The most interesting thing about this statue installed in the Ganesh temple at Fatehpur Gate of the city centuries ago is that this statue is made of soil. Even after this, when it is anointed with water, it does not melt in water. The place where this statue has been installed receives a lot of rain during the monsoon season. Due to which water reaches the temple and the Ganesh idol is completely submerged in the water. But still this idol has not melted till date.

Does not melt even after drowning in water
Talking about the history of the temple, this statue installed in the temple located near Fatehpuri Gate reached the city of Sikar in ancient times through two princely states and Kasli. Historian Mahavir Puropit says that Rao Raja Devi Singh of Sikar brought the statue of Ganesha from Kasli after defeating his enemy Kasli kingdom in the war. Raja Devi Singh ruled Sikar in 1840. At that time, Purna Singh, the ruler of Kasli kingdom, was very powerful and arrogant. He repeatedly attacked the gate of the fort complex towards Nani village of Sikar, scaring the soldiers and challenging the king of Sikar for war.

Cannon shells were also ineffective
Fed up with the egoistic ruler of Kasli, Purna Singh, the soldiers posted at Nani Gate told the whole thing to Raja Devi Singh. At this, the king sent one of his trusted soldiers to convince the ruler of Kasli. The ruler of Kasli killed him at that time, angry that Raja Devi Singh attacked the Kasli kingdom. Cannon shells were also fired on the state, which proved to be ineffective. Still the king of Sikar attacked Kasli several times, but each time he had to face defeat. After this, when the king of Sikar discovered the reason for this, it was found that there is a miraculous statue of Ganesha in the Kasli kingdom, which removes the troubles that come on the Kasli kingdom. Due to which the balls fired in the war are also proving to be ineffective.

War brought to Sikar and brought Sikar
After knowing this, Raja Devi Singh took advice from Raj priests and pundits in this matter. On his advice, he sat on his knees in the battlefield and prayed to please Lord Ganesha. The king of Sikar prayed to Lord Ganesha for the victory in the war to punish the ruler Purna Singh for his sins and the ego of Kasli kingdom and his commander. After which the king of Sikar attacked Kasli and he won the war. After this, the Kasli kingdom was included in the Sikar state and this idol of the miraculous Lord Ganesha received from Kasli was installed near Fatehpur Gate in front of Sikar Fort in the name of Vijay Ganesh. That is why Fatehpuri Gate is also known as Vijay Ganesh. Since then, people’s faith in the first revered Lord Ganesha established in Fatehpur Gate of Sikar city kept increasing.

Thousands of devotees do the court in the court of Vighnaharan
Whenever there are wedding or other auspicious works of people from Sikar city and nearby, they reach Ganesh ji at Fatehpuri Gate in the city. Where they give the first invitation to Vighnaharan Ganesh ji and pray for the completion of auspicious work without any obstruction. Every Wednesday, thousands of devotees take blessings in the court of Vighnaharan, while a five -day Ganesh festival is also organized on Ganesh Chaturthi.
