Rohtak administration has collapsed illegal construction on 30 hectares of land

Officials in the Rohtak district demolished illegal constructions over 30 hectares, which are aimed at several unauthorized colonies around the city and its environment. In a statement on Thursday, Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata confirmed the administration’s commitment to prevent unauthorized constructions. “Illegal colonies and constructions in the district may not develop,” he said. As part of the campaign against illegal structures in controlled and urban areas, two unauthorized colonies were demolished along the JLN channel in the town of Bohar. “During the campaign, a boundary wall, nine illegal construction, a sewer network, three foundations and a road network were demolished,” Khadgata said. In addition, an illegal colony near sector-7 and sector-38 divisional road was also demolished. This included four illegal construction, five foundations, a sewer network, electric poles and a road network. Electric meters in the area have also been removed. A sabotage campaign was held in the presence of the district municipal planning office, municipal corporation, electricity corporation and police staff. Rohtak District Municipal Planner (DTP) Sumandeep urged residents to take precautions while investing in property. “The sabotage campaign against illegal constructions will continue. Unauthorized colonies in the district may not develop,” he said. He advised potential buyers to check the validity of the colony before making any investment.
