Amit Shah decided to abolish 'Lal Terror' by March 2026, and urged Naxalites to surrender

Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah announced the government’s commitment to the termination of ‘Lal terror’ Naxalism across the country by next March. Shah, during the ‘Bastar Pandum’ program in Dantewada, called on the Naxalites and encouraged them to join the mainstream. He insisted: ‘No one is happy if Naxalites are killed. I appeal to him to surrender and be part of Vikas Yatra. ‘ Bastar moves towards the Naxal -Free era, Shah emphasized that significant progress is being made in Bastar under the Modi government and becoming a Naxal -free. He described this period as a ‘golden age of development’ for the region and said the government is determined to completely eliminate naxalism. Shah said: “Naxalites cannot stop the development of tribal communities of Bastar. They must be part of this progress.” The formation of district construction committees, the government of Chhattisgarh, has approved the establishment of ‘District Construction Committees’ in Naxal -influenced districts SUKMA, Bijapur and NarayanPur. Its purpose is to ensure transparency and accountability in developmental works in these areas. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized that corruption will not be tolerated at any level and that the quality and transparency of funded development projects from public money would be the highest priority. According to officials, the Department of General Administration issued an order regarding the formation of these committees. These committees are responsible for effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of building projects. The district collector will be the chairman of each committee, while the district superintendent of the police, CEO of District Panchayat, Forest Divisional Officer (DFO), executive engineer of the Department of Public Works, District Cursors and District Level officials will be its members.
