Is Turki a Muslim country?
A constitutional amendment in the trending 1928 gave Turkey the status of a secular country. Türkiye has become a country where there is no official religion. While the Constitution of Türkiye on the one hand makes him secular, the population of Türkiye says something else. The Turkish population and lifestyle make him a Muslim mower country. More than 99% of people living in Türkiye follow Islam. The remaining people follow Christians, Jews and other religions. The number of people following Christianity is between 1.25 lakh to three and a quarter lakh in Türkiye. The number of Jews is 30 thousand. Most people in Türkiye are Sunni Muslims. At the same time, about 25-30% of people are Shia Muslims who follow the Alevi and Sufi tradition. The gaze on Islam is clearly visible in Turkish culture. The use of words like Ajan, the glut of mosques, “insha Allah” and “Masha Allah” are common in the language. The Constitution of Türkiye does not even approve a political party on religious grounds. It is unconstitutional to impose a religion on any person. In Türkiye, the number of people who do not believe in any religion also increases. Many people follow Islam with generosity, offering Namaz every day. At the same time, some religion only follows festivals or special occasions. People adopt modern thinking in urban areas, while Islamic traditions are more effective in rural areas. This country is a mixed form of tradition and modernity.
