NEIDA Police Commissioner has 4,775 unclaimed and sewned vehicles under 'Operation Clean-2'
NEIDA, OCTOBER 4 (IANS). The Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner has successfully completed the special campaign ‘Operation Clean-2’ for the disposal of unclaimed and sewned vehicles that lie with the police stations for a long time. The campaign was constantly carried out from 1 August 2025 to 30 September 2025 under the supervision of the Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh and Additional Police Commissioner (Act and Order). A total of 4775 vehicles were sold during this period. Vehicles were auctioned during the campaign in the three Zone Noida, Central Noida and Greater Noida. According to official information, 2,060 vehicles in the Noida zone, 1.637 vehicles in the central Noida zone and 1,078 vehicles in the Greater Noida zone were disposed of. The entire process of the auction was done based on the evaluation of the transport department Gautam Buddha Nagar and all the vehicles were handed over to the bidder. Complete videography of this process was also performed so that transparency was left. The funds received at the auction were deposited in the revenue account of the government of Uttar Pradesh. Based on ‘Operation Clean-2’, vehicles have been stood in the police premises for many years as a junk. This includes unclaimed vehicles from 1990 to 2023. Due to the removal of these vehicles, enough space has been emptied in the police premises. Neatness and beautification were also encouraged. Due to the success of the campaign, the atmosphere of police stations is more streamlined and clean than before. Now the ordinary people and visitors to the police stations are also experiencing a better and positive atmosphere.
