Lahaul Spiti, April 14 (IANS). Himachal Pradesh Minister Jagat Singh Negi reached Lahaul a day before to attend the Himachal Day celebrations held on April 15. On the first day of his visit, he visited Eklavya Adarsh ​​Residential School in Kukumeri and took the continued development works there. During this, he met the principal, staff, students and contractors who were working on construction work. However, he also reprimanded the contractors for delay in construction work. Minister Negi told the media that his visit was the purpose of ensuring basic facilities in the school and to take the progress of continued works. He informed that the government was aimed at running this school with full potential, so that all the students, especially the children of the tribal community of the region, could benefit. He said: “Institutions like Eklavya Vidyalayas are the backbone of our education system. By this we not only distribute education but also to promote social inclusion.” Negi also died with the students during the school visit and heard their problems. He instructed the school administration that there should be no shortage of better educational environment and facilities to the children. In addition, he warned the contractors to pay particular attention to the quality of construction work and to complete the task on time. During this time, Negi repeated the government’s commitment to implement the forest rights Act in response to a question. He said the government is trying to fully implement the forest rights Act, in which a maximum of 50 Bigha can claim. At the same time, while giving information about Nautod land, he said that the Forest Protection Act was sent to the Governor in 1980 for approval to cancel for two years.
