Pakistani spy was arrested in Panipat for leaking information on army activities
In a significant success, the Panipat police arrested a suspected Pakistani spy, who was allegedly involved in giving sensitive defense information to the handlers across the border, especially during Operation Sindoor of the Indian Army. The accused, 24 -year -old Noman Elahi, comes from Kairana in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh. He has lived in Hali Colony in Panipat for the past four months and worked as a security guard in a local blanket factory. According to police, it used the work as coverage by maintaining contact with Pakistani handlers via WhatsApp and other social media platforms. The district police CIA-1 unit acted on a secret information and arrested Elahi of Flora Chowk in the sector 29 industrial area. A cellphone repaired of his possession revealed vocal messages and communication with a person named Iqbal, considered his Pakistani handler. According to sources, Elahi was instructed in one of the intercepted voice messages to go to the Panipat Railway Station and report a military movement, especially related to trains that go to Gurdaspur and Pathankot. Investigators also found that Elahi was in contact with three to four more Pakistani numbers. He acknowledged that he had shared information on the sensitive activities of the army and money in return.
