APJ Abdul Kalam also lived here before becoming president. Lotus Temple, built on 26 hectares in 1986, is 114 feet high. This Temple of Bahai Dharma is the 20th richest temple in India. Humayun’s grave was built by his Persian Queen Hamida Banu Begum after the death of the Mughal selector Humayun in 1569. It was designed by Persian architect Meerak Mirza Giyasi.
