Cases of conjunctivitis (eye flu) have increased but no effect on sight
In recent times, there is a rapid increase in cases of conjunctivitis, which is usually called flu. It is caused by virus or bacterial infection and produces symptoms such as shrinkage, redness, water and itching. Experts, however, believe that the disease is not fatal to the eyes and that it does not affect sight. Common symptoms of conjunctivitis include eye irritation, redness, excessive water, glue of eyelids and itching in the eyes. The disease often spreads very quickly, especially if someone comes into contact with it or uses infected items. This can spread especially in schools, offices and other public places. According to doctors, conjunctivitis is a common and temporary disease that is cured in a short time. However, the disease can cause discomfort due to inflammation or irritation caused by eye infection, but it does not have a serious effect on eye lights. Despite not having an effect on eye lights, this infection can be spread, and it may take longer to get relief from infection. Therefore, experts recommend that if someone sees symptoms of conjunctivitis, a doctor should be consulted immediately and keep himself away from others and make sure he clears his eyes. Some important measures to prevent infection are, among other things, not to touch the eyes with hands, to wash hands well to spread infections in public places and not the exchange of things of personal use. Given the increase in cases of conjunctivitis, the Department of Health and Doctors has called on the people to spread awareness to prevent this infection and seek medical advice on any symptoms.
