Pichai, who opened his childhood in Madras, now Chennai, said that these forming years helped him become who he is today and form his approach to life. Google CEO Sundar Pichai spoke no running water on the podcast, and reflected on how even running water was not available when a drought hit his city during his childhood. “We had no running water. You know, it was a massive drought. They (authorities) would get water in these trucks, maybe eight buckets per household, ‘he said. Pichai revealed that he was in line with his brother and mother to get the water. “So my brother and me, sometimes my mother, we would wait in line, get it right,” he said. Sundar Pichai also took no phone reports, and he also remembered how the idea of immediate access to information, even with a phone, was a dream. There was a five-year waiting list. We got a rotating phone. It has changed our lives dramatically, ‘he said.’ People will come to our house to call their loved ones, ‘recalls Pichai. The lack of phones or any other technology will even affect people’s access to their medical records, Google CEO said: ‘I will have to go to the hospital for two hours to get blood test records, and it will take two hours.
