In a remarkable scientific development, a joint study conducted by research teams from India and the United Kingdom revealed a new benefit for dairy products, which is its effective role in improving the stability of glucose levels in the blood, compared to pure plant systems that depend only on milk alternatives such as soy milk.
Natural drink helps treat diabetes
The study included a sample of 30 healthy adults, who were divided into two groups:
- The first group: It took a flexible vegetarian system that includes milk and yogurt.
- The second group: I followed a strict vegetable system based on vegetable alternatives to milk only.
To ensure comparison justice, calories were unified between the two groups, and accurate medical devices are used to measure the level of sugar every 15 minutes throughout the day.
The results showed that the group of milk and dairy products enjoyed more stable levels of glucose, with a noticeable decrease in the sudden altitudes of sugar, in addition to high levels of the acetyl -carnin compound known as its role in promoting fat metabolism and improving the body’s resistance to oxidative stress.
On the other hand, the group that relied on vegetable alternatives only recorded an increase in vinyl alanine, which may hinder the absorption of glucose when it accumulates in the body.

The researchers explained that these results may pave the way to review some of the nutritional recommendations for diabetics, especially in light of the increasing global demand for strict plant systems.
The scientific team recommended the need to consult doctors before adopting any new diet, especially for those who suffer from metabolism disorders or problems in controlling the level of blood sugar, stressing that the balance in the diet remains the most important factor to ensure sustainable health.
