Four accused arrested
Etawah, June 23 (IANS). During a religious event in the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, a disgraceful incident of assault, immorality and forced hair cut came to light during a religious event. After the video of this incident went on social media viral, police acted quickly and began the process of jailing four accused. The incident is from Village Dadarpur in Bakewar area, where a Bhagwat Katha was arranged on June 21. In the program, the narrator read Mukut Mani and Acharya Sant Singh Katha. During the event, some villagers objected to the narrator’s cabinets. It is alleged that the narrators organized the story by calling themselves Brahmins, while they are from other role players. This controversy caught fire and some people started fighting with the narrator. Not only that, his hair was also cut against his wish. Someone made a video of this inhuman act, which later became increasingly viral on social media. After the video became viral, the voltage situation in the area arose. Local people and religious organizations strongly condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the culprits. Senior Superintendent of the Police (SSP) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava took the matter seriously and instructed the social media monitoring to act immediately. Sale took note of viral video and began investigating the case. The joint team of additional superintendent of the police (rural), jurisdiction Bharthana and the Bakver police station visited the place and recorded statements from the victims. After the investigation, a case was brought to the related parts of the storytellers of the victim. Police acted quickly, four accused Ashish (21 years), Uttam (19 years), first arrested AKA Manu (24 years) and Nikki (30 years). Among them, Nikki is the most important load to cut the narrator’s hair by force. The process of sending all the accused to jail was started. SSP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said the incident occurred during the Bhagwat Katha held in a village in the Bakewar police station, where the narrator allegedly assaulted, derogatory behavior and his peak cut. We have started action since the morning based on viral video and complaints on social media. An investigative team was formed under the guidance of additional Superintendent of the Police (APP), which intensively investigated the case. The victim has been identified and all allegations will be investigated fairly. He said strict action against the culprits would be assured. The police work in this case seriously. Such incidents impair social harmony. Strict steps will be taken against the culprits so that such incidents do not occur in the future. The victim said his cellphone was taken away during the attack and that he was fined Rs 25,000. Three of the four rings of them were taken forcibly, while one was returned.
