Britain examines the 'Google' investment of the 'anthropic' intelligence business

Google’s partnership with the Artificial Intelligence Company “Anthropic” stares at the risk of stumbling in their agreement in the United Kingdom after the Competition Control Authority has requested an extensive investigation into the potential impact of this partnership. The British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announced on Thursday that they have started an official investigation in the first phase of integration, in the latest indication that the regulators are starting to monitor the investment wave in startups specializing in artificial intelligence. ‘Alphabet’, ‘Google’, promised last year to invest two billion in the emerging artificial intelligence business. Prior to this investment, Google also signed a major agreement in the field of cloud computing with ‘Anthropic’. ‘Google’ in artificial intelligence was the ‘Competition and Markets Authority’ at the forefront of global efforts to ensure that the investments of major technology companies in artificial intelligence do not lead to the market or enabling some strong businesses to dominate it. In turn, the US Federal Trade Committee and the European Union are also investigating a number of partnerships associated with this sector. The ‘Microsoft’ partnership with ‘Oben AI’ may also face an investigation in the UK, while Amazon’s investment was worth $ 4 billion in September last year. The Competition and Market Authority found that the local “anthropic income” does not exceed the required limits, and that it does not have a large share in the local market that requires intervention. On the other hand, the commission opened the investigations into “Microsoft” and quickly closed over the “mistral” and “bending”. The commission set as a final date on December 19 to decide whether to strengthen its studies and make it deeper and serious. While a “Google” spokesman is not immediately on the request to comment.
