'No threat to Muslim religious places', JDU minority statement amid dissatisfaction in the party on WAQF Bill
Patna, April 5 (IANS). After the WAQF amendment bill was approved in parliament, many leaders of the ruling JDU in Bihar resigned. The party made a press conference on Saturday to clear its position, which includes prominent leaders of the party’s minority cell. JDU, who was in the central government, supported the bill in parliament. At the press conference, party spokesman Anjum Ara said the five proposals made by the JDU in the joint parliamentary committee to consider the bill were included in the bill. In terms of this bill, religious places such as mosques and Dargahs are in no way threatened. He claimed that the interests of minorities would be protected during the government of Nitish Kumar and that the party’s side would be strong as before. State President Ashraf Ansari said that the party only supported the bill after accepting the proposals made by JDU. Nitish Kumar has always worked for the development of minorities and he has justified the party’s role in adjusting the bill. JDU legislative councilor Khalid Anwar said that the opposition is constantly trying to intimidate Muslims in Bihar. The Muslims of the State know very well that neither mosques nor Dargahs are threatened under the rule of Nitish Kumar. He said that some social media trolls and opposition parties give the issue to the issue without reason and try to discredit the Muslims of Bihar. JDU leader Salim Parvez said that his leader is Nitish Kumar and that he stands with him. Irshadullah, chairman of the Sunni Council, described Nitish Kumar as a secular leader and said that no one could compete with him. He said that the concept of secularism of Nitish Kumar is the strongest and that the party is fully with him. Kahakshan Parveen also supported the party’s position and said that all the leaders led by party president Nitish Kumar were united. -Ians PSM/Ekd shares this story -tags
