New -Delhi, September 13 (IANS). The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested the President of Bihar State of the Forbidden Popular Front of India (PFI) Mehboob Alam Alam Alam alias Mehboob Alam Nadvi in the 2022 Phulari Sharif Criminal Conspiracy case. Mehboob, a resident of the Hasanganj area in the Katihar district of Bihar, was caught from Kishanganj. He is the 19th accused of being arrested in this case. Initially, local police registered a case against 26 people who were later handed over to the NIA. The case includes illegal and anti-national activities of PFI-associated organizations. Their purpose was to create an atmosphere of terror by spreading religious enmity between different religions and communities. According to the NIA investigation, these activities were harmful to peace and harmony, whose purpose was to disturb public peace, bring about dissatisfaction with India and justify the use of criminal power. PFI members spread fear to the public by promoting their ideology to establish the rule of Islam in India. This is clearly mentioned in the documents of the organization, ‘India 2047: to the rule of Islam in India, internal documents: not for distribution’. On July 11, 2022, in the same document seized from Ahmed Palace in Phulari Sharif, Patna, it was found that Mehboob Alam’s name is associated with the conspiracy of PFI. The NIA investigation confirmed that it was active in recruiting PFI, training, meetings and anti-national activities with co-accused. In addition, he raised funds and made available to co-accused and PFI activists. In September 2022, PFI was declared by the central government for five years for being involved in terrorist activities. The NIA said the investigation is taking place under the IPC and UA (P) Act. This arrest is the result of the regular efforts of security agencies, which have no stone unturned to catch members of limited organizations. -Ians Sch/DKP Share this story Tags
