Say what you will, but the new trailer looks amazing!
While it’s obvious that Davis would never work for free, one can certainly hope that davies do get his hands on the acclaimed actress to have her appeared in Doctor who. She is an amazing addition to the show, as she’s already proven herself a tremendously versatile star not only in the DCU, but with Roles in Things Like The help, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottomand the unfergettable series How to get away with murder.
Who does Russell t Davies because Viola Davis to play in ‘Doctor who?’
Should Davies ‘Dreams become a reality, it would make sense for someone of Davis’ Caliber to appear in Doctor who In a more substantial role than just a fly-by-night guest star who really has no impact on the overall plot. She should be someone who really sticks out. Someone that fans will remember for years to come. If it turns out, Davies has just the character in mind, and it’s one of the show’s most iconic villains:
“I think she’d probably be the next master. You’re not going to waste viola davis being nice in the corner. You’re going to have her standing there saying ‘doctor, you are dead’. Please, make it happen, we have put that into the universe.”
Talk about Perfect Casting. Davis would not only be amazing as the master, but she’d also be only the second female to ever play the character, after Michelle Gomez. Like we said, it’s just a pipe dream for now, but one can always hope that davis will show up at some point, and if not as the master, then maybe a friend to the doctor on one of his many adventures.
