After Jnu, Jamia also canceled agreements with Turkish institutions

New -Delhi, May 15 (IANS). Several large Indian universities have suspended their educational settlement (sleeve) with Turkish institutions with reference to national security. The most latest step was taken by Jamia Millia Islamia, which issued a statement on Thursday to announce the immediate suspension of all the compromise measures with any institution attached to the Turkish government. The university said in a post on social media platform X, “Any compromise morandum (sleeve) is suspended by immediate effect between any institution associated with the government of Jamia Millia Islamia, New -Delhi and the Republic of Turkey due to immediate effect. Jamia Millia Islamia is stuck with the country.” The move was taken by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after suspending his own sleeve with Inonu University, Turkey. The purpose of the agreement signed earlier this year on February 3 was to promote accomplice research and student exchange. However, in his statement, JNU has repeated similar issues on national security, “for national security reasons, the memorandum of understanding between Junu and Inonu University, Turkey, is suspended until the next notice. June stands at the country.” Increasing the Gulf of Academic Separation, Maulana Azad National Uldu University (Manuu) in Hyderabad, also immediately canceled its academic agreement with Younus Emre Institute in Turkey. These decisions have come amid a widespread decline in India-Turki relations, inspired by strong support for Pakistan and criticism of India’s recent attacks on borderline terrorist camps. Turkish Coalition with Pakistan on major strategic and defense issues has promoted domestic calls in India to boycott Türkiye’s products and tourism. National security concerns have increased after a press briefing by Indian defense officials, where it was revealed that the Turkish manufactured drones had recently been recovered from surgery. Colonel Sophia Qureshi and wing commander Vyomika Singh confirmed that the forensic analysis identified the model as a song -drunk of Turkish -Origin, produced by the co -workers. The presence of these drones in the Arsenal of Pakistan indicates the increasing defense collaboration between Ankara and Islamabad- a relationship that becomes a matter of rapid investigation in New Delhi. Officials say that the suspension of compromise memorandum through Indian universities is part of a widespread attempt to review and reconstruct institutional relations with countries that work against India’s national interests. -Ians PSK/GKT shares this story tags
