The US recently declared “The Resistance Front” as a foreign terrorist organization and a specially designated global terrorist unit. It was a major setback for Pakistan as this step exposed its terrorist strategy. The resistance front is part of lashkar-e-taiba. In fact, it was formed and published as a local organization in Jammu and Kashmir. Its purpose was to give Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Taiba a chance to deny in a way. Its purpose was to show the disorders in Kashmir locally. Pakistan wanted the terrorist attacks to continue, and it must also be ensured that it did not come under the lead of Financial Action Work Force (FATF). The National Investigation Agency investigated the activities of the resistance front. It is said that Pakistan cannot use this pseudo organization to avoid FATF. The resistance front has a deep network in Jammu and Kashmir. The locals, at the request of Pakistan, are in contact with the people of Bay and Malaysia to provide money to operate the activities of this terrorist organization. During the investigation, the name Sajjad Ahmed Mir, a Malaysia resident, popped up. The phone calls of a suspect, Yasir Hayat, showed that he was in contact with Mir to arrange the money. Hayat traveled to Malaysia several times to arrange money. The information revealed so far shows that with the help of his Malaysian contact, he has produced Rs 9 Lakh for the resistance front. This money was given to another worker named Shafat Wani to run the activities of the organization. It is said that Wani, who is a prominent TRF worker, is also to Malaysia. He said he attended a university conference and entered the country on this excuse. However, the university did not sponsored the visit. The NIA also found out that, apart from the contact with MIR, Hayat was also in contact with two Pakistanians. His activities were to raise money, and the investigation shows that his task was to stay in contact with foreign workers and raise money for the terrorist organization. The NIA has enough information about the operation of TRF, but it is important to find out how much money is provided. On August 13, the NIA said it had discovered a foreign money source that was being investigated intensely. There are 463 contacts on Hyatt’s phone, the NIA of which is doing a thorough investigation. Calls have been made to Pakistan and Malaysia on several occasions. All of these numbers are being investigated, and investigators say it is very important to track down the financing network of the resistance front. These revelations are important for detecting this network, and it will help India to expose Pakistan before FATF. India makes a case against Pakistan regarding the financing of terror. India emphasizes that it includes again in the gray list. The resistance front was formed in 2019 to replace the falling Hizbul Mujahideen. It is believed that its influence in the environment is decreasing and that it is necessary to do so to give a new identity to local terrorist activities. It is formed to cover the activities of Lashkar-e-taiba. An attempt was made to show the attacks as indigenous resistance rather than Pakistan sponsored terrorism. It was actually a new form of Lashkar-e-taiba, designed to deceive the world community and reduce the pressure of institutions such as FATF.
