Senior Congress Leader PP Thakachan dies, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed mourning
New -Delhi, September 11 (IANS). PP Sokachan, senior leader of the congress and former Speaker of the Kerala Lawyer Assembly, passed away at the age of 86 at the age of 86. He struggled with the age -related illnesses for some time and was admitted to a private hospital in Aluva. He was placed on a ventilator due to increasing breast infection, but his condition did not improve, despite the treatment and he breathed his last at 4:30 pm. His death raged a wave of mourning in Kerala politics. PP THankachan was born on July 29, 1939 in Angamali in the Ernakulam district. After completing his education, he chose the path of politics at an early age. At the age of 26 he became the chairman of the Perumbavur municipality and it is from here that his active political journey began. His work style and public involvement gave him a strong place in politics. Thankachan first won for the first time in 1982 of Perumbavur and became a MLA. He then constantly represented the region until 2001. He played very important roles during his long term in the meeting. From 1987 to 1991 he worked as the chief whip of the opposition and in 1995-96, as the Minister of Agriculture of Kerala, he continued several schemes related to farmers and rural development. His efforts contributed significantly to the improvement of agriculture. Not just limited to the meeting, Tankhan also played an important role in the congressional organization. In 2004, he was appointed President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC). He was also active in various positions such as UDF Convenor, a member of the Rubber and Chairman of Marketfed. His political journey is seen as an ideal example of commitment, loyalty and public service. Political parties at the state and national level expressed deeply compassionate with the death of PP Thankachan. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra remembered him, saying that he was a dedicated leader who served the people of Kerala with dedication and dedication.
