Renga Journalism Division for 11 years without media labs at the Bansi Lal University, now hanging; Masters degree closed - Bhiwani News University concludes the Masters degree program for journalism
Jagran correspondent, Bhiwani. The dream of students doing PG degree to journalism and mass communication of the Chaudhary Bansi Lal university has been broken. Without media labs and equipment, the Department of Journalism will ring for 11 years, but now the conclusion is hanging on it. The university has now stopped this degree. Instead, Bachelor or Mass Communication (BMC) will start a three -year Bachelor’s degree program at Golden Jubilee College. In addition, PG diploma will also be started on the university campus. The PG degree had 30 seats, the vacant university administration says that the seat was 30 in the PG degree and the number of people entered here was 10 to 15. In such a situation, the positive results did not come. While here on the former students and the land here was a lack of resources. As a result, students did not show interest in admission. Some went to study in the middle. When the university closed this degree after 11 years. Which can be harmful to staff with students. Department began in 2014: It is known that the MJMC division was established in 2014 in the first years of the university. This department has been part of the university’s glorious educational structure since the beginning. There are 30 seats in the department that students take admission each year. But the sad reality is that to date this department has not given the infrastructure facility to date. Media Lab not found, how the main purpose of the University Department is to provide quality education and training to the students so that they can become proficient in their areas. But it has been a decade since the Department of Journalism has started here, and where practical skills are considered the most important for a commercial field such as media, students have not exposed laboratories, no equipment or field. Students did not get media lab or basic equipment such as camera, mike, tripad. Despite being a practical course, students must be limited to theory. This negligence of the university administration abandoned the credibility of the department. Also played with the future of students. Regular staff has so far another education staff of four in the Department of Journalism, with a contract on a contract basis and three guests. In addition, similar contracts or part -time staff were deployed earlier. In such a situation, educational knowledge could not be fulfilled because they did not gain experienced staff. There was a lack of appointment of regular staff in the department. A significant difference in both grades: The university is now starting to start a Bachelor’s degree of Bachelor’s Communication (BMC). The question is whether the introduction of the diploma course is to give options to the students. When we talk about an UG degree, it is not equivalent to PG degree, nor can students gain the same intensive knowledge and practical experience in it as it appears in the master’s degree. Bachelor of Mass Communication (BMC) will be started in place of postgraduate degree of journalism and mass communication. In this, students are admitted to Golden Jubilee College. In addition, PG diploma will also be started. The staff will be put together in the Golden Jubilee College. Students have enrolled much less in postgraduate degrees of journalism and public communication. As a result, this degree is closed. – Dr. Lakha Singh, Hod, CBLU. On the other hand, student leader Praveen Bura said that the University has closed PG degree to journalism and mass communication and PG degree in social work, which is completely wrong. It played with the future of the students. There is a lot of anger among the students about this. The university administration withdraws its decision and resumes both PG degrees. If this does not happen, a demonstration is held in the University.- Praveen Bura, student leader.
