US Media article on performing Chinese films on the Cannes International Film Festival

The American magazine variety has published an article entitled: The Chinese Film United Booth at the Cannes International Film Festival “showed the vibrancy and dynamics of Chinese films.” The article states that the purpose of the Chinese film United Booth is to promote the integration of Chinese filmmakers and foreign resources by displaying the existence and enthusiasm of Chinese films in a more variety. The United Booth aims to promote international film transactions, build a bridge for film exchange and collaboration and to increase mutual understanding and cultural exchange between Chinese and foreign film world. This year, “Nacha 2”, “Detective Chintown 1900”, “Deity Building: Demon Force”, has been selected more than 180 Chinese films and has attracted extensive attention to the film industry. The promotional video showing the latest achievements of the Chinese film industry on the Booth screen also attracted many visitors. The strong performance of the Chinese film market attracted the attention of foreign counterparts to the Chinese stand. At The Booth, many international buyers have shown great interest in the foreign distribution rights of participating Chinese films, and many international filmmakers have also come to the booth for consultation and discussions.
