Chennai, September 10 (IANS). The Eurasia Afro Chamber of Commerce (EACC) held a press conference on Wednesday at a private hotel in Agmore, Chennai, with an emphasis on the global investment and trade route between Asia, Africa and Europe. On this occasion, Dr. Rohit Gupta, president of EACC, while addressing the journalists, provided information on the objectives and schemes of the organization. Dr Gupta said that EACC’s main goal is to promote trade relations between Africa and South India. He said the organization is working to draw up South India as an important trading center by making Tamil Nadu his headquarters. For this, an agreement was signed with the Tamil Nadu government. We are committed to making Tamil Nadu an important center of world trade. Dr. Rohit Gupta said that the demand for electric vehicles (EV) and medical equipment is increasing rapidly in Africa countries. Countries such as Ghana, Liberia and Morocco showed special interest in the region. Due to the availability of strong infrastructure in Tamil Nadu, the EACC plans to promote export from the region. “Our goal is to strengthen the export system with an investment of Rs 2000 crore, which will be on a guarantee base,” he said. The vision of EACC is to promote economic diplomacy between Asia, Africa and Europe, create equal investment opportunities and to speed up sustainable global progress. Dr Gupta informed that the Tamil Nadu government and the central government were made aware of the objectives of the organization, and that the discussion with all the embassies involved was also completed. He also announced that the global investment market will start in November and December 2025 with the approval of the Tamil Nadu government. Under this initiative, electric vehicles and medical equipment are exported from Tamil Nadu to meet the demand of African countries. This EACC initiative will not only strengthen trade relations between India and Africa, but will also provide a new direction for global economic cooperation.
