Tamil Nadu: Youth pair dies in a stamped accident, mourn in the family

Karur, September 28 (IANS). A young couple died in Karur, Tamil Nadu, who was engaged a few days ago and the two would soon bind the knot. His death led to mourning in the family. During the political rally of Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam (TVK) leader and actor Vijay Saturday night, 40 people are in a stamp, including childhood lovers and soon engagement, M. Akash (26) and Sk Gokulashree (26) were also involved. IT -Professional Akash and Gas lecturer Gokulhree at the Vallauvar College of Science and Management was planning to get married next month and in January next year. On Saturday, the couple got a look at ‘Vijay Anna’ with Gokulashree’s older brother Prabhakaran. After the arrival of Vijay late, the waiting crowd panicked for hours. Prabhakaran said: “We were on the roof of a house near the venue. When we tried to come down, the crowd came together. My sister asked me to move away because I recently had angioplastic.” A few minutes later, Akash and Gokulashree get trapped in the crowd. He is emotional and said, “My mother called us to come back at 18:00 on Saturday, but we stayed there.” After the postmortem, his bodies were handed over to his family members on Sunday morning and the same day he was cremated. This accident shocked the entire Tamil Nadu. Shortly after the incident, Chief Minister Mk Stalin reached Karur. He announced a remuneration of Rs 10 Lakh for each family of each victim and ordered an investigation led by retired Justice Aruna Jagdishan.
