Cricket News Desk. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has been appointed chairman of the ICC Men Cricket Committee. Ganguly’s long -term national partner VVS Laxman was also selected as a member of the panel. The global regulatory institution of sports gave this information on Sunday. Ganguly, who led the Indian team from 2000 to 2005, was appointed chair of the committee in 2021. After this, Ganguly replaced his compatriot Anil Kumble, who resigned after completing a maximum term of three years. Apart from Ganguly and Laxman, former Afghanistan player Hamid Hasan, West Indian big batsman Desmond Hens, South African Test and ODI captain Temba Bavuma and former English batsman Jonathan Trot appointed. The new ICC Women’s Cricket Committee is led by former New Zealand Excellence Catherine Campbell, while former Australian player Everl Fahi and Cricket South Africa (CSA) Foletesi Moseki are other members.
