Tauqir Raza's arrest attack on unfair and democratic traditions: Syed Sadatullah Hussiaine

New -Delhi, September 28 (IANS). James-E-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Saadatullah Hussaini strongly condemned the arrest of several people, including Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan in Bareilly. He expressed serious concern and called it an attack on unfair and democratic traditions. Syed Hussaini said arrest is a matter of deep concern for arresting simple and reverent slogans like ‘I Love Mohammed’ as a threat to the public system. Keeping peaceful religious belief in the category of crime is a direct attack on India’s pluralistic culture and sociality. He claimed that Maulana Tauqir Raza was first placed under house arrest and that a fir was submitted under strict sections without proper investigation. It is a wild use of the power of the state, which not only weakens the rule of law, but also deepens distrust in society. The Jamaate chief said the country has always faced movements and protests. If there is violence or stone, it must be condemned, but it is unconstitutional to convince an entire community without investigation. He calls it ‘abuse of state machinery for political interests’ and said that the game of common polarization is repeatedly played for election benefits. Syed Hussaini has called on the Muslim community to follow peace, self -control and compassion and kindness of the prophet Muhammad. At the same time, he demanded the government to withdraw the allegations, release innocent prisoners immediately and restore equality and justice in management. He said that the real strength of India is in its constitution, pluralism and mutual respect. If they are weakened for political profits in the short term, the loss will be not only of a community, but also of all the people. -Ians Ash/DKP Share This Story Tags
