The cartoonist Hemant Malviya of Indore, who came in controversy because of a disputed cartoon on Premier Narendra Modi and RSS, has now apologized on social media. The cartoonist posted an excuse on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms, saying that his goal was not to harm the feelings of a particular community, cabinets or religion. The cartoon dispute and the Supreme Court that heard this case came into the spotlight when Hemant Malaviya made controversial cartoons on Premier Narendra Modi and RSS, which began controversy. In this case, Indore police registered a case against Malaviya and arrested two and a half months ago. Thereafter, the case reached the Supreme Court, and during the court hearing, the cartoonist said he would apologize on social media platforms. The excuse of the cartoonist who wrote Malviya in his apology, “The purpose of the cartoon made by me was never to harm the feelings of any community or religion. It was as an art and I’m sorry if someone hurts it. I appeal to everyone not to take it personally.” Further legal process Hemant Malaviya’s case is now in the Supreme Court, and it should be heard next week.
