TB Free India campaign quickly spread in Chandigarh, 50 kits in dispensory
Chandigarh, September 13 (IANS). The Chandigarh administration has strengthened active ground level efforts under the ambitious ‘TB Open India’ initiative of the central government. The campaign, which began under the leadership of Premier Narendra Modi, aims to release India TB by 2025. Chandigarh also tries to achieve this goal. In Chandigarh, 50 special sets have recently been distributed to patients suffering from TB in different dispensations, including medicine, nutritional supplements and awareness material. This step is a great attempt to eliminate TB from the root, which will help patients quickly treatment and nutrition. The Chandigarh administration has announced to constantly organize programs throughout the city. Awareness campaigns are conducted under the supervision of the TB official of the state, in which patients are told about the treatment process, regular intake of medicine and the investigation of family members. With the determination of ‘we can end TB’, the Darling Oath programs are also organized. The Chandigarh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also supported the campaign. BJP president Jitendra Pal Malhotra said this campaign took the form of mass movement. He instructed the workers to spread awareness from home to home. Malhotra insisted that the government’s schemes soon eliminate diseases such as TB, and Chandigarh will become a pioneer in health services. Minister of Health and Welfare JP Nadda recently announced that people from 12.97 crore across the country have been tested under the 100-day Rapid campaign, in which more than 7.19 Lakh patients have been identified. Chandigarh also won the award by performing in this campaign. Instant is distributed in a major dispensary of Sector 22 under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program (NTEP) run by the Chandigarh Health Department.
