Temporarily Freeze Sirens-Rotators, Kakorlantas: Part of the Spirit of Police Reform

Jakarta – Korlantas Polri Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho emphasized that the policy to temporarily freeze the use of sirens and rotators with the sound ‘tot tot wuk wuk’ is part of Polri’s reform commitment to strengthen professionalism and improve public service management. This step was taken to enforce discipline, maintain service ethics and rebuild public confidence in the police institution. Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho said the freeze applies to patrol and escort vehicles that do not have special priorities. This policy is a form of Korlantas’ responsibility to reorganize the operational standards and behavior of traffic police members so that they are in line with the principles of orderly, professional and humane public service. “This step is also part of the spirit of Polri reform that places accountability and transparency as the main basis for institutional change. This arrangement is part of the operational transformation of the National Police Traffic Corps which continues to develop through digital systems such as Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), Indonesia Security Management Center (ISDC) and Digital Traffic Police Services. “This suspension policy is not only a technical check, but also a reflection of the new direction of the Indonesian traffic police. The National Police Traffic Corps is committed to continue to strengthen institutional integrity, improve service quality, and ensure that all field policies run with the principle of public accountability,” he said.
