Thailand Earthquake: Sao Building Fall Case, Investigating Against the Chinese Company

Bangkok, April 2 (IANS) The Government of Thailand has strengthened the investigation into other building projects related to the Chinese Contractor of the State Audit Office (SAO). The building collapsed during a devastating earthquake in Bangkok. Thailand’s Premier Partangatar Shinavatra said he instructed different agencies to investigate all the building projects given to the ‘China Railway No 10 Engineering Group’. Prime Minister Shinarse said: “All concerned agencies have been instructed to investigate deeply to find out how many projects and how many projects are being worked. All buildings in Bangkok will have to meet legal standards. Safety should be the highest priority.” He further said that the collapse of the building lost his life and had a negative impact on Thailand’s image. Napinatorn Sreesunpang, Deputy Minister of Trade in Thailand, said the initial investigation found that the shareholders of ‘China Railway No 10 Engineering Group’ were associated with 13 other companies. Meanwhile, rescue workers took another body out of the rubble of the collapsed Sao building in the four -fold district of Bangkok.
