It is believed that when Lord Krishna and Rukmani got married during the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna did not invite Ganesha, making Ganesh Ji sent his vehicle Mushak there. Ganesh Ji’s vehicle Mushak dug the ground and made it hollow, allowing Shri Krishna’s wagon to move forward. After that, Shri Krishna sent an invitation to Ganesha and asked him to attend the marriage. Since then, there has been a tradition to send the first invitation here.
